DPR has been initiated for the construction of road connecting East Rukum through Tali village of Thulieveri Municipality of Dolpa. In the first phase, the DPR work has been completed for road construction from Tali village to Chinarangsi Patan within the municipality.
'The DPR work of about 10 kilometers of roads within the municipality's boundaries has been completed . Now the DPR is to be done from Chinarangsi to the border of Dolpa and East Rukum," Panch Budha, a technician of the municipality, said, "The plan is to work in the first phase, but due to heavy snowfall, it could not be done before that. 80 percent DPR work of Dolpa-East Rukum connecting road has been completed . Now 20 percent is left . Even if the snow melts, it will be completed by next week.'
According to him, there is a place called Kundla in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality of East Rukum. From there you reach Rakumkot via Lal Patan Kharbang. If this road is built, it will be directly connected to Madhya Pahari Lokmarg, while Dolpa will become the shortest road connecting Kathmandu.
After the construction of the road, Suvarna Kumar Budha, head of Thuliberi municipality, said that Kathmandu can be reached in one day from Dolpa to East Rukum Baglung mountain via Pokhara. We have done DPR for the budget of the municipality. As soon as the work of DPR is completed, we will initiate the budget with the state and union government,' he said, 'after the construction of this road, it will become the shortest road connecting Dolpa with Madhyapahari Lokmarg.' After the construction of this road, Rukum East can be reached directly from Dolpa.
The outgoing Chief District Officer Tulsi Prasad Dahal suggested to the district leaderships to take initiative for the construction of the road connecting East Rukum to Kathmandu as it is a short road to connect Dolpa . Arcade Consultancy has been entrusted with the DPR in the ten million budget of the municipality.
