The body of the laborer who went missing while crossing the Karnali river on a drum boat was found on Tuesday.

23-year-old Devnath Sejuwal of Mugu Rara Chayanath Municipality-10, who works on the Ghatchaur-Laifu road of the Karnali Corridor, went missing in the Karnali River on Monday morning.

Sejuwal, who has been working as a wage laborer in the Karnali Corridor for 10 months, went missing in the river while coming to work from across the Karnali River in a boat made of diesel drums.

The body of the missing youth was found and handed over to his relatives, said Kishor KC, Acting Chief of Police, Kalikot.

11 km from Ghatpari Chaur in Kalikot Palata-9 of Karnali Corridor to Laifoo in Bajura is being constructed by the Nepali Army under responsibility. The road is currently passing through a roundabout from Bolu village of Nanikot to Ghatpari Chaur. Karnali river will be shortened by 10 km after the Tiraitir tag is opened.
