The city bus has been put into operation in Dolpa, which was connected to the national road network only last year. Thulibheri municipality has started transporting passengers by operating city buses.
Mayor Shravan Kumar Budha said that 32-seat capacity buses have started transport services on the route to Jufal, Dunai and Tripurakot from last Monday.
After the Beilibridge was built on the Bheri river under the Dolpa-Jajarkot road section, the bus reached Dolpa headquarters Dunai at the end of 2080 Baisakh. Dhan Bahadur Dangi of Thooliveri-9 told that the obligation to pay 500 fares was removed after the bus started. The municipality has purchased a bus for 54 lakh rupees. "Locals have to go to all the government offices in Sadar Kumam for their daily work, even to the airport," said the city chief Budha, "You can't get on the Bolero jeep that runs here when you want, the fare is expensive, it used to carry too much for a seat of 5 people." In Karnali, Chayararanath Municipality of Mugu, Chaurjahari of Rukum West and Chamunda Bindrasaini of Dailekh have also operated city buses .
