The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has requested not to place the blame on the democratic system itself regarding the weakness of the power managers.
Addressing the Karnali state-level second convention of the National Health Workers Federation, Chief Minister Kandel said that those who question the republic have got an opportunity when the weaknesses of individuals are piled on the system. He said that the system is being attacked due to the weaknesses in the administration of power. He said, 'There may be some
ing weaknesses in the governance, the expected expectations of the citizens may not have been met, they can be improved, but it is not fair to compare the weaknesses of the government with the system.'
Chief Minister Kandel asked that the attack on the Republic should not be understood as an attack on the rulers only. He said that even though the attack on the system is only seen on the authorities, it has also attacked the civil rights. Stating that the alternative to the democratic system achieved after a long struggle of the people is a more advanced form of democracy, he suggested that it is foolish to think that he will bring a Raiti governance system again and he suggested that such foolishness should not be done. He said, "There is no more advanced system than this one brought by the people after a long struggle. Let's fix the weaknesses but stop attacking the system."
