A woman has been injured when a house and shed caught fire. A fire broke out in the house of Chandrakali Budhathoki at Bangad Kupinde Municipality 9 Sera around 10 am on Wednesday. A bull has also died in the fire. A bull, a buffalo and a pada were injured in the fire.
The fire started after the straw kept in the barn was picked up by the fire that was lit to cook the cattle. Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, said that the fire broke out when no one was in the house and caused a lot of damage. He said that with the help of the locals, the food and clothes inside the house could be saved. He said that the exact amount of damage caused by the fire could not be disclosed.
Ward Chairman Rudra Bahadur Pariyar said that the condition of one bull was critical after being rescued. He said that Chandrakala and her family were kept with relatives after the house was completely gutted by fire.
