Under Madan Bhandari highway, traffic operation has been stopped for a week on the road from Garigaon-Dhamigaon-Dhamigaon-Pipalbot to Pokhara Neta under Madan Bhandari highway for road upgrading. Bagchaur municipality of the district published a notice and stopped the transport operation.
Hari Bahadur Kathayat, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Bagchaur Municipality, said that the construction work is going on in full swing and due to the stones and mud being piled up on the road while widening the road, the traffic service has been closed till 2nd of Chaitra in cooperation with the road construction company.
He said that the traffic operation on the road under construction is not only a problem but also a lot of trouble for the passengers and the construction work is also affected. The Chief Administrative Officer Kathayat has requested all passengers to use alternative routes as the traffic has been completely stopped due to the stones piled up on the road.
Similarly, Kapurkot Rural Municipality-6 during the upgrading of Tunibot-Koila road section, due to the construction of culverts near Ghurkhola, Pipalkot, the traffic operation has been suspended until the work is completed and local travelers have been asked to use alternative routes, according to Durga Bahadur Pun, chairman of the rural municipality.
