In accordance with the policies and programs of the Government of Nepal, 6 people have been successfully transplanted through the service conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population, National Transplantation Center of Shaheed Dharmabhakta.

Director of Martyr Religious Transplantation Center Dr. Pukarchandra Shrestha said that not only the people of Karnali province but also the citizens of other provinces have directly benefited when the transplant service was started in Karnali. When the transplant service is conducted in Karnali, the compulsion to go outside the district has been removed . For the first time, the first kidney transplant was done in the state hospital on January 21, 2079. Director of the transplant center Dr. Shrestha said that compared to the hospitals in other provinces, Karnali Province Hospital is far ahead in service delivery.

'This hospital is providing excellent service,' he said, 'National Transplantation Center will support two doctors from Karnali Province to do a one-year fellowship course. After that, there is no need to rely on the manpower of Kathmandu to transplant.'

Provincial Hospital Director Dr. Keshar Dhakal said that the hospital is also preparing to expand other specialist services. Oncology services have been conducted for the treatment of cancer in provincial hospitals, and general treatment and surgery services have also been added. Similarly, the hospital says that the test of cath lab service for heart disease diagnosis and treatment has been completed.
