The Nagm-Gamgadhi road, which was blocked due to the snowfall since Thursday, has not been opened yet. The Road Division Office, Jumla, has started removing the snow using excavators, but it has taken time to remove it due to the thick snow.
Shivchandra Karki, a resident of Chayannath Rara Municipality Ward No. 5, said that the road was blocked due to thick snow and some landslides and some downed electricity poles.
Karki, who was coming from Nepalgunj, informed that the tourists and vehicles coming to Rara were stopped on the road due to a landslide in the Jia-Bulbule section of the Karnali highway. It is said that employees and Nepali Army are working with excavators of Road Division Office Jumla to remove road obstructions. Chief District Officer Kamal Prasad Pandey told that work is being done to remove road obstructions till this evening.
