One person died in a fire in Mudkechula rural municipality-4 Eel village this morning. Mudkechula-4 ward president Kriti Bahadur Budha informed that 75-year-old Sarki died while sleeping when Badi Sarki's house caught fire in Eel village.
According to him, Sarki's crude two-storey house was completely damaged by the fire. Due to old age and physical infirmity, Sarki died when a blanket caught fire while he was sleeping near the stove.
When the deceased Sarki's son-in-law and daughter went to the farm, the house caught fire. Ward Chairman Budha said that after the fire, the security personnel of the police station in Eel, locals, public representatives, etc. rescued the livestock safely.
After receiving the information about the fire, the investigation team from the district police office is about to come to the scene.
