After celebrating Sankranti on the 1st of January, Sisne Rural Municipality-3 Pokhara, on the 2nd day, go to the banks of the Saniveri River and make cloth dolls (toys, which are called behuli) and burn them. Accordingly, a grand Maghi fair has been organized in Pokhara on Wednesday. In the afternoon, a large group from the village including Bajagaza reached the river Bheri near the village.

And the little doll that looks like a toy made by the girls of the village called 'Behuli' was burnt in the cremation style by the river. And the team returned to the village, dancing and rejoicing.

Villager Mahendra KC said that this is done every year on the day after Maghi, i.e. 2nd of Maghi, with the belief that people can get rid of various crises, sorrows and fears that may come to the village. "We call this bride-burning." But the bride is not the bride. It is a custom to burn cloth toys as brides," he said.

is a tradition that has been going on for many years. According to the local Dil Bahadur KC, they believe that by doing this, the possible crisis that may come to the village will be averted. "On this occasion, there is also a fair, so it is also fun," he said.

It is done by going from the village to the river playing the baja and dancing and singing with the baja. While there are fewer people on the way back, there is a crowd on the way back. Also, it is believed that the bride is kept in a doli and returned to the village. Elaborating more on this, the local Ram Bahadur Khatri says, 'Toys are burnt and doli is made to bring a model of a living bride. There is no clear reason for this. But we accept it because it is a tradition.'

After returning from the river, many local tableaus and dances are performed in the open square near the village. Besides, some entertaining games like cock pulling were also performed. At first, many people used to attend this fair, but recently the population density in the village is decreasing and even those who are there are not interested, so the participation is decreasing every year.
