Chief Minister of Karnali State Government Yamlal Kandel has said that the prosperity of Karnali will contribute to the country's economy.

In the regional discussion program on public-private partnership held by the Board of Investment in Birendranagar on Wednesday, Chief Minister Kandel said that the prosperity of Karnali will boost the economy of the country as there are opportunities in Karnali that are not found anywhere else in the country.

Mentioning that now only many negative issues of Karnali get discussion, he claimed that Karnali province will be established as the most contributing province over time.

Although Karnali is rich in natural resources such as agriculture, tourism, hydropower, forests, he opined that due to the lack of infrastructure, he could not get the expected benefits.

In order to create an investment climate in Karnali, Chief Minister Kandel urged the federal government to give priority to 5 areas of infrastructure and said that if infrastructure development is facilitated, it can be established as the most prosperous province.

Even after the country went to the federal government, since the investment laws are still in the same state, he asked to make them friendly to the provincial structure. He stressed that the government should first create an environment of trust in infrastructure development as the private sector will not be attracted unless investment is made in infrastructure.

He said, 'There is an eagerness to invest in Karnali, there are also suitable places for investment. Investors show that the laws are an obstacle for investment and stay away, we must try to make the laws investment friendly.'
