The Tatopani Rural Municipality of Jumla has organized a municipality-level reading fair to improve the educational conditions of community schools. An exhibition of educational materials made by students was also held at the fair.

Municipal Chairman Nanda Prasad Choulagain said that the fair will play a positive role in increasing the learning of children. It was found that the students used their skills and abilities by using local resources.  Parents also came to see the educational materials made by the children at the

fair. According to the municipality, the fair was organized to promote regular reading, increase of children's skills, development of reading culture, and recognition of children's abilities. 20 community schools participated in the fair. There are 29 community schools in the municipality. 4 schools have been selected as the best in the fair. 

was evaluated on the creation of excellent educational materials, reading skills, learning conditions, children's interpretation of the materials, and positive effects of educational materials on regular reading. Participating schools had stalls in the fair. All the stalls were observed. 

Kalika Basic School was first, Sundarmani Basic School was second, Kalika Basic School Hiakhola was third and Kalika Mavi Topla and Himali Basic School Babira were fourth, informed Chakra Bahadur Gisi, the evaluator of the fair. Educational materials and cash prizes have been provided to all the four best schools.

Chairman of Tatopani Rural Municipality Chaulagai said that Tatopani has given special priority to the education sector in order to improve community schools and maintain educational quality. He mentioned that the municipal level reading fair organized for the first time will prove to be a milestone for improving the educational conditions of community schools. Earlier, Tatopani rural municipality formed five monitoring teams and sent them to schools. 

President Choulagai has said that he will start the school merger campaign based on the condition of the school and the number of students.
