Kapurkot rural municipality of the district has arranged free ambulance service for pregnant women. The municipality has arranged free ambulance service for pregnant women to give birth in the maternity hospital operated by the health institution so that they are comfortable and do not have to give birth at home.
Chief Administrative Officer of Kapurkot Rural Municipality, Bharat Kumar Vali, said that free ambulances have been arranged for pregnant women so that women who are forced to give birth unsafely at home due to poor financial conditions cannot get ambulance services. "Pregnant women and women who have given birth do not have to pay any ambulance fees when they go to the 6 maternity hospitals operated in all the health institutions within the municipality. If you have to go to Dang and Nepalgunj outside the municipality, you have to pay the minimum fee', he said, 'Private ambulances charge 5,000 to 6,000 to Tulsipur and 10,000 to Nepalgunj. We have set a fee of 2,500 for Tulsipur and 5,000 for Nepalganj.
