It has snowed for the first time this year in the Himalayan district of Humla. In addition to the change in the weather since Sunday evening, the snowfall started last night after the storm started in the afternoon.
Till this morning, three inches of snow has accumulated in Simkot, the headquarters, and one foot of snow has accumulated in areas including Limi in the upper part of North Namkha Rural Municipality, said Bohra, who is working at the Limi health post. Farmers here are happy with the late onset of snowfall in the district this year. The people of Humli also believe that the weather will improve after the snowfall and the crops will grow. The farmers of the district are happy saying that the snowfall will improve the cultivation of wheat, barley and wheat.
After the snowfall, the headquarters of Simkot and surrounding hills have been blocked and life has been affected. The lives of Chala, Limi, Hilsa, Yari and other areas of Northern Namkha have been affected. The cold has increased with the snowfall and the temperature in Humla has already dropped to minus.
