Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has said that the government is serious about providing necessary resources to the police.

While monitoring the Gumi Base Camp Gurvakot Surkhet of the Special Security Force of Nepal Police located in Surkhet, the author said on Sunday that the government is seriously engaged in the management of the necessary resources for the police. He said that Nepal Police has a special role to ensure the rule of law. 

He reached Surkhet on Sunday afternoon for the Karnali state level security conference to be held on Monday and monitored the numbers. During the follow-up, the writer also assured that he would provide the necessary assistance for the speedy transfer of numbers. Along with the Home Minister, IGP Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, Chief of Nepal Police, has also reached Surkhet.

At present, only some of the manpower of this group in Nepalgunj of Lumbini Province is staying in Gurbhakot Municipality of Surkhet - 13 and 14. There are currently 100 policemen under the command of the police inspector. The police have started staying in Gana since October 5th of last year. But still the office has not completely moved here.

Minister of Home Affairs along with the author, Minister of Social Development of Karnali Province Dhanshyam Bhandari, Minister of Water Resources and Energy Development Bijaya Budha also reached Gumi. People's representatives including Hasta Bahadur Pun, head of Gurvakot municipality, Umesh Kumar Paudel, head of Lekbensi municipality have asked the Home Minister to take initiative to bring this group from Nepalganj to Karnali as soon as possible. In response, the Home Minister has promised to help.
