Domestic flights have started from Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province, to three districts of Karnali.
Due to the lack of domestic flights in Karnali Province, it was forced to come by road to Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province, via Lumbini Province.
The aircraft of Tara Airlines has started flights from Surkhet in Karnali to Jumla, Mugu and Humla from Wednesday. Residents of Karnali have said that they will be greatly relieved after the start of direct flights to Surkhet and Upper Karnali.
Local Jai Bahadur Rawat said that if there is no domestic flight, the pain of going to Nepalgunj by ship and reaching Surkhet by road will be much greater. He said, 'Now you will feel that Surkhet is the capital of the state.' According to Suryamani Subedi, station in-charge of Tara Airlines Nepalgunj, Himali Tours and Travels has been entrusted with the flight. Students and locals of Humla, Mugu and Jumla living in Surkhet have become very excited when domestic flights have started from the capital of Karnali province. Surkhet-Simikot 8 thousand, Surkhet-Rara 6 thousand 500 and Surkhet-Jumla 6 thousand 500 fares have been fixed.
Meen Bahadur Rawal, Managing Director of Himali Tours and Travels, informed that commercial domestic flights have started from Surkhet to promote domestic tourism. Earlier, Sita Air also started Surkhet-Jumla commercial flights.
