Seventy-year-old Lalbir Chhantyal of Chinakhet, Beni Municipality–3, Myagdi, died after being buried in a landslide. According to Inspector Sagar Timilsina of the District Police Office, Myagdi, he died while sleeping when his house was buried by the landslide last night.
Similarly, 63-year-old Dhankumari Thapa of Hadebhir, Dharapani, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality–7, who was buried in a landslide, was rescued safely. She was rescued by a police team from the Area Police Office, Darbang, along with local residents.

Because of the landslide, the Beni–Jomsom–Korala road under the Kaligandaki Corridor has been blocked.
