27-year-old Rivaj Gurung of Kahukhola, who went missing in Fewa Lake while swimming on Wednesday, was found dead on Thursday.

As soon as he was reported missing, a 13-member rescue team led by Armed Police Force Nepal Assistant Inspector Amrit Chhetri was mobilized from the Armed Police Force No. 24 Battalion, Kalika, Kaski. The team also included expert divers and a disaster management team.

The Armed Police Force's diving team rescued Gurung from Fewa Lake in an unconscious state at around 3:35 am on Thursday while conducting a search operation overnight on Wednesday.

He was immediately taken to the Western Regional Hospital under the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences, but the doctors declared him dead after examination. Police have said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
