93 percent of the work on the Butwal-Narayangadh road under the Mahendra Highway has been completed in Daunne. Out of the 14 kilometers of the Daunne section, 13.75 kilometers of the road, including blacktop and slope, have been completed by Monday.

The construction of 14 kilometers of the hilly road in Daunne is being made into 3 lanes. Out of the 11 kilometers of the western section under Daunne, 3 kilometers of the road have been blacktopped and 7 kilometers of the road has been made into 3 lanes. Out of that, 700 meters of the road is being made into 3 lanes. According to engineer Pashupati Gyawali, who visited the area, the construction of the 3-lane road will be completed before Jestha 15. A culvert is under construction in the western section.

The construction of 3 kilometers of the road in the eastern section has been made into 3 lanes by Monday. A bridge is under construction near the Bishwakarma Temple there.

Out of the total 3.900 kilometers of the eastern section, 3.7 kilometers of the road have been completed. The work on both sections is scheduled to be completed by Jestha 15 and will be ready for dual carriageway operation by the middle of Jestha.

Out of the 114 kilometer stretch of the Butwal-Narayangadh road, 6 lanes are being constructed in the main market, 4 lanes in the forest area, and 3 lanes in the 14 kilometer stretch of Daunne.
