Two people died in a bus accident that occurred on Friday afternoon in Shuklagandaki Municipality-7 Shera, Tanahun along the Prithvi Highway.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar BK of the District Police Office informed that the deceased is yet to be identified. The accident occurred when the driver of the passenger bus (Ga 2 Kha 1836) heading from Pokhara to Bhairahawa lost control and the bus overturned on the road.
The 27 people injured in the accident were sent to Manipal Teaching Hospital and Annapurna Hospital in Pokhara after receiving primary treatment at the GP Koirala Respiratory Treatment Center in Belchautara, Shuklagandaki Municipality-5, Pranau BK said. Similarly, 3 people are being treated at the same hospital and 1 person has been sent home as he is in a normal condition. Of the injured, 9 are in serious condition, 14 are in moderate condition and 5 are in normal condition.
