Two people died and 12 were injured in a Bolero jeep accident in Usta Bensimuni, Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-7, Lamjung on Saturday afternoon.

The passenger jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6470) heading from Besisahar to Chhinkhola, Marsyangdi-7, fell about 40-50 meters down a winding road at around 4:30 pm, according to the police. Triveni Ghale, 40, and Pushpa Ghale, 35, of Ustaki, Marsyangdi-7, died in the accident. They were declared dead by doctors at the Provincial Hospital, Lamjung, during treatment.

According to Police Inspector Gyanendra Bahadur Chhetri of the District Police Office, Lamjung, 40-year-old Bimaladevi Ghale, 33-year-old Rita Gurung, and 7-year-old Safal Gurung, all of Ustaki, have been referred to Chitwan Medical College.

Among the other injured, 62-year-old Santa Bahadur Gharti, 29-year-old driver Karan Adhikari, 48-year-old Rudraman Ghale, 10-year-old Prishika Gurung and 38-year-old Somlal Tamang are in moderate condition.

Similarly, the condition of 31-year-old Prakash Gurung, 14-year-old Biman Ghale, 9-year-old Indra Ghale and 11-year-old Ritesh Gurung is normal, according to the police.

The injured are being treated at the Provincial Hospital in Besisahar, Lamjung. The police said that an investigation into the incident is underway.
