A 95-year-old woman has died after being hit by a passenger bus in Gorkha. Local 95-year-old Sukmaya Lama died after being hit by a bus at Dashkilo Bazaar in Ward No. 12 of Gorkha Municipality at 2 pm on Saturday. 

Lama, who was seriously injured when she was hit by a bus (Na 5 Kha 5030) coming from Kathmandu to Gorkha, died at the Provincial Hospital Gorkha during treatment, said Rajkumar Shrestha, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Gorkha. He informed that the police have taken the driver and the vehicle under control and are conducting necessary investigations into the incident.
