Gandakot Mayor's Cup Cricket from Falgun 1

The fifth Gaindakot Mayor's Cup National T-20 Cricket Tournament is scheduled to be held from Falgun 1 at Gaindakot in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East).

The national level T-20 cricket tournament has been organized by the Nawajagaran Rural Development Center and co-organized by the Nawalpur District Cricket Association. The tournament to be held at the Nawajagaran Cricket Ground in Thumsi, Gaindakot-9 will continue until Falgun 5.

The trophy and match schedule of the tournament were made public in Gaindakot Municipality on Tuesday. While unveiling the trophy, Gaindakot Municipality Mayor Madan Bhakta Adhikari said that this tournament is the pride of the municipality.

A total of 8 teams, including 7 provinces and Gaindakot Mayors 11, will participate in the tournament, informed the program coordinator Ramchandra Sapkota. The 8 teams have been divided into two groups. The opening match of the tournament will be between the host Mayors 11 and Karnali Province, who are in Group 'A'.

The winner of the tournament will receive Rs 3 lakh in cash, while the runner-up will receive Rs 2 lakh in cash. Similarly, in the individual category, the best player of the tournament will receive Rs 25,000 in cash, the best batter, bowler, fielder and wicket-keeper will receive Rs 15,000 each, the best catcher will receive Rs 10,000, and each player of the match will receive Rs 5,000 in cash, informed the tournament director Dhamnath Sapkota.
