Twenty-nine polling stations in Baglung are on the highly sensitive list for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for February 21.

Baglung, which has two constituencies, has been classified into three categories: highly sensitive, sensitive and normal.

Out of 107 polling stations in the district, 29 are highly sensitive, 25 are sensitive and 53 are normal, said Tilak Bharti, Chief Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Baglung. 

‘The District Security Committee meeting has classified the polling stations based on the activities of the past elections, the number of voters, security sensitivity, etc.,’ Bharti said. 

Earlier, there were 106 polling stations in the district, but this time with one addition, the number of polling stations has increased to 107, said Yagya Prasad Rijal, Chief of the District Election Office. 

There are 193,381 voters in Baglung. There are 98,046 voters in 115 polling stations out of 48 polling stations in Constituency No. 1 and 95,335 voters in 115 polling stations out of 59 polling stations in Constituency No. 2.
