One person has died and another has been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident at Chunpahara, Bandipur Rural Municipality-4, along the Prithvi Highway road section.
According to Tanahun police, the driver of a motorcycle bearing Province 3-008 Pa 4250 heading from Dumre to Aanbukhaireni lost control and hit a road divider.
The motorcycle driver, 18-year-old Adarsh Limbu, a permanent resident of Lalitpur district and currently residing in Bandipur rural municipality-4, suffered serious injuries to his head and face in the accident. Similarly, the rider on the back of the motorcycle, 18-year-old Miniraj Prasad Bhandari, a resident of Bhaktapur district, suffered serious injuries to his face.
Both the injured were referred to Chitwan Medical College Chitwan after receiving primary treatment at Laxmi City Hospital Dumre. Since their condition was serious, they were referred from the old Medical College Bharatpur to the new CMC Chitwan. During treatment, Miniraj Prasad Bhandari, 18, a resident of Bhaktapur Municipality-4, who was riding the motorcycle, was declared dead by doctors at 6:00 am today.
The condition of the driver Adarsh Limbu is critical and treatment is ongoing. The police have stated that the necessary investigation into the accident is underway.
