Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that it would be unfair to spread the illusion that elections will not be held and that they will be run away from the elections. Addressing the Gandaki Province-level security seminar organized in Pokhara on Monday, he said that the government is determined to hold the elections on the scheduled date.
"It is not fair to run away from the elections, spread the illusion that there will be no elections, and weaken good governance from anywhere," he said. "The formation of this government is in line with the objective of handing over responsibility to the elected government through elections."
Regarding the escaped prisoners, he said that about 70 percent of the total escaped prisoners have already returned and the rest are in the process of coming. "The home administration is also working on the looted weapons by conducting a special operation," he said. "The recovery situation is getting very strong." He said that the government is responsible, sensitive, and responsive in terms of talks and dialogue with the parties. He made it clear that the government is open for talks, dialogue, and discussions.
He informed that the schedule for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun has been made public and preparations are being made accordingly. Stating that the Integrated Security Plan for the Election of Members of the House of Representatives 2082 has been approved to conduct the election in a free, credible, fair and fearless environment, he said that the Home Administration is working on the issue that political parties have pointed out as major security challenges, including looted weapons and escaped prisoners. 
He said that the government has adopted the Gen-G movement, documented it, and finalized the demands of Gen-G and the dreams of martyrs, and an agreement has been reached between the Prime Minister and Gen-G representatives, which has been published in the Gazette and is in the implementation phase.
He said that the security seminar is one of the steps taken by the government to prepare for a fearless, fair and peaceful election. He believes that the provincial government will also prepare and implement its own robust provincial security plan in accordance with the election security plan approved by the Central Security Committee.
He said that the provincial government has a special role in maintaining peace and order and creating an environment for elections. He informed that a mechanism has been created so that the provincial government is active in pre-election, election period and post-election activities.
