Tanahun Bhimad Municipality has decided to provide a subsidy of Rs 10 per liter to milk producers as an incentive. According to the Milk Production Based Incentive Program Operation Procedure, 2082, it has been decided to provide a subsidy of Rs 10 per liter to farmers, informed Mayor Dadhiraj Subedi.
An agreement has been reached between the municipality and Bhimad Agricultural Enterprise Cooperative Society. As per the agreement, Bhimad Agricultural Enterprise Cooperative will provide the amount to the farmers who produce milk.
The municipality has also fixed the price of milk. From Bhadra 1 to mid-Magh, the purchase price has been fixed at 110 per liter, the wholesale price has been fixed at 120 per liter, and the retail price has been fixed at 130 per liter.
Similarly, from Falgun 1 to mid-Shrawan, the purchase price has been fixed at 115, the wholesale price has been fixed at 130, and the retail price has been fixed at 140.
