Two tourists who had been missing since November 19 have been found dead. The deceased are Indian citizens Jignesh Kumar Lallubhai Patel, 52, and Priyansa Kumari Patel, 17.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force Hira Bahadur GC and equipped with rescue equipment found the bodies of both the people buried in snow 100 meters above the Milepa Monastery today, Chief District Officer Nawaraj Paudyal informed.
The Indian citizens who had gone to visit the Milepa Monastery in the same rural municipality-5 of Manang from the Gyalsen Hotel in Ngisyang Rural Municipality-4 of Manang went missing on Kartik 30. After they went missing, the hotel informed the Armed Police Force, Nepal Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang for search operations.
'The bodies are being brought to the Provincial Hospital, Manang. We will send them to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu on Monday,' said Chief District Officer Paudyal.
