A person was beaten to death in Pokhara this morning in a minor dispute. Police have stated that 45-year-old Anil Parajuli of Parsyang, Pokhara Metropolitan City-5, was murdered.
Police have arrested Ishwor Timilsina, 23, of the same place, on charges of murder, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet, information officer at the District Police Office. According to him, Timilsina had beaten up Parajuli over a minor dispute.
'Initial investigation shows that the murder was committed over a minor dispute. We have taken the attacker under control,' he said, 'Further investigation and questioning of the incident are underway.' Police have said that a knife has been recovered from the arrested Timilsina.
The body of the deceased Parajuli has been taken to the Western Regional Hospital under the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences for an autopsy.
