Nepal Police Inspector General Chandrakuber Khapung has said that action will be taken against anyone who intrudes and causes havoc during the Gen-G movement.

He said that action will be taken against those involved in infiltration and sabotage during the movement based on evidence including photos, videos and other footage. He also appealed to the police to help by sending such photos or videos.

Speaking after inaugurating a new petrol pump built by the Police Welfare Fund in Kawasoti, Inspector General Khapung said this. ‘The only clear message of the Gen-G movement is a corruption-free Nepal,’ he said, ‘Everyone should internalize this and move forward.’

Amid widespread criticism that the police did not take action against those who set fire to government offices and leaders’ houses during the Gen-G movement despite filing complaints with evidence and that the government has let off the accused who have already been booked, Inspector General of Police Khapung defended the government, saying that all infiltrators will be brought to book.

Recalling that security personnel who were at the forefront during the Gen-G movement suffered heavy losses, he said that a review should be conducted. He said that the police are continuously taking action against those who intrude into the Gen-G movement and everyone's cooperation is indispensable for that.

He informed that everyone will get quality and reliable service from the petrol pump built by the Nepal Police Welfare Fund at a cost of about 110 million rupees in Kawasoti, the headquarters of eastern Nawalparasi.
