The Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 office has informed that tourists have been banned from footpaths and base camps on Saturday and Sunday. Ward President Lok Bahadur Pun issued a public notice and informed that the ban has been put in place as there is a risk of accidents and suffering for tourists in the base camp and footpath due to the possibility of rain and snow.
The climbing base camp to reach the foot of Annapurna Himal, which is eight thousand and 91 meters high, is located in Annapurna rural municipality-4 of Myagdi. After the start of the Dasain holiday, around 100 tourists used to visit the footpath and base camp every day.
