A young man died in a motorcycle accident on Paundi-Borangkhola road near Naubise, Rainas Municipality-3 of Lamjung. Another person was injured.
According to District Police Office Lamjung, 23-year-old Samir Thakuri, a resident of Rainas 3, Timure, died in the accident. Thakuri was rescued in a serious condition and taken to Sahodar Hospital in Dhamilikuwa for treatment. But the doctor declared him dead.
According to the police, on Monday night, the driver Thakuri was seriously injured when the motorcycle numbered 24 P 1630, which was going from Timure to Satbise, went out of control around 11:50 am and fell into the drain on the right side of the road.
26-year-old Devraj Thakuri from Timure riding the motorcycle was injured. Police said that he was sent to Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara for further treatment after first treatment at Sahodar Hospital.
After the accident, the deceased's bond was raised and the body was kept at the provincial hospital in Besi Sahar for autopsy. Police Inspector Raj Kishore Sah Teli, Information Officer of District Police Office Lamjung, has informed about the incident.
