One lakh eight thousand 686 foreign tourists have visited the religious and touristic district of Mustang from January to September 28, 2025.

During the same period last year, 1 lakh two thousand 894 foreign tourists visited Mustang district. The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) has reported an increase of 5.32 percent compared to last year.

From January to December 2024, a total of 135,719 foreign tourists visited Mustang district. In order to maintain this ratio, there should be an increase of 27 thousand 33 foreign tourists, i.e. 19.91 percent, from January to December 2025.

However, during this favorable tourist "season", Rajesh Gupt, head of the office of ECAP Jomsom, said that due to unfavorable weather conditions and the situation caused by the Genji movement of young people, fewer foreign tourists came. According to him, 11 thousand 785 foreign tourists entered Mustang in September 2024.

Under the Annapurna Conservation Area project, foreign tourists have been coming in to see the isolated geography, ancient religious monasteries, Mathminders, Mane Chorten, old man-made monasteries and the picturesque snow range here. ACAP has mentioned that the historical Lomanthang Palace, Choser Cave, Muktinath Temple, Dhumbatal and other tourist destinations of Upper Mustang are important tourist assets here.
