According to the District Police Office, seven inmates of Kaski Jail and three inmates of Jagannath Dewal Central Jail were arrested.

12 prisoners who escaped from different prisons were arrested from Gorkha

12 prisoners who escaped from various prisons in the country during the Genji protest have been arrested from Gorkha. According to the district police office, seven inmates of Kaski Jail and three inmates of Jagannath Dewal Central Jail were arrested.

According to Chief of District Police Office and Superintendent of Police Bharat Bahadur Wik, one inmate who escaped from Tanahun Jail and one who escaped from Sanothimi Bhaktapur Children's Correctional Home during the Genji protest were also arrested and sent to the respective prisons and correctional homes after completing the necessary procedures.

Vikram Nepali, Tenzing Rigdel Lama, Chhewang Rijin Lama, Sonam Lalzen Lama, Baburam Nepali, Rajesh Vishwakarma Sunar and Sonama Dorje Lama, who escaped from Kaski jail and arrived in Gorkha, were arrested, Superintendent of Police Wick said. 

Bharat Thakuri, Suman Sundas and Bhuvan Tamang, who escaped from Jagannath Dewal Central Jail, have been arrested and the respective jails have been run. Similarly, Vishal Uparkoti, who escaped from Tanahun Jail, and Sushma Magrati, who escaped from Sanothimi Bhaktapur, were arrested by the police from Gorkha.

Superintendent of Police  Vic informed that all those who were arrested were kept in the detention cell of District Police Office Gorkha for some time and the respective prisons have been run after completing the legal process. "Of those arrested from Gorkha, most of them have Gorkha homes and some have homes outside the district," he said.
