Gorkha police have arrested 11 prisoners who escaped from various prisons.
6 people who escaped from Kaski Jail, 2 people who escaped from Central Jail, 2 people who escaped from Tanahun Jail and 1 person who escaped from Balsudhar Griha Bhaktapur were arrested in Gorkha.
Bharat Thakuri of Siranchok-4 who absconded from Tanahun Jail, Bhuvan Tamang of Dhunweshi-2 of Dhading who absconded from Central Jail and Susma Magrati of Gorkha Municipality-9 who absconded from Bhaktapur Child Correctional Home have been arrested by the police. Thakuri was in Tanahun jail for the crime of forced labor, while Tamang and Magrati were jailed for human trafficking. Gorkha police have already arrested 8 people.
Suman Sundas of Dhankuta who escaped from Central Jail and Baburam Nepali of Palungtar-2 who escaped from Kaski Jail were arrested by Gorkha Police. Both of them were jailed in the rape case.
Sonam Dorje Lama, Chhewang Lama, Sonam Galjen Lama and Tenzing Lama of Chumanuvri-6 Chumchet House in Gorkha, Rajesh Sunar of Vimsen Thapa-1 Musal have also been arrested by the police. All five of them, who were in the Kaski jail in the case of duty-bound death, escaped on August 24.
Similarly, Vishal Uparkoti of Siranchok Rural Municipality-8, who is in Tanahun Jail in a theft case, was also arrested by Gorkha Police, District Police Office Gorkha Police Inspector Saroj Karki said.
