Kaligandaki Lokmarg, a project of national pride to connect North-South, has been launched. Under the public highway, the road collapsed in Phalebas Municipality-11 Pangrang on Thursday. After the road was washed away, there was a problem with the repair.

The road is becoming dilapidated due to the problem of flooding, erosion and potholes in the places where it has been paved. Out of the nearly 70 kilometers of the mountain section of Kaligand's Lokmarg, the Setiveni-Phalebas section, which has become blackened, has become a problem for the operation of transport vehicles due to the failure to repair the damaged road.

The road in the Pangrang section of the corridor is washed away due to incessant rain. At the place where the public road construction work has been completed, the process of road erosion and collapse has not stopped during the rainy season. After the road was washed away, there was a problem in operating the means of transport. Kaligandaki Corridor Project Office, Palpa, Engineer Peepul Gautam informed that vehicles are operating in one way now.

Locals complain that the road is not regularly maintained. Although most of the road construction work from Setiveni to Kurgha has been completed, some parts of the road are still pending. The road between Kurgha and Pangrang is in a dilapidated state.

Engineer Gautam said that there is a problem in maintenance and maintenance due to lack of agency to take charge if the work is completed. He said that due to the lack of listing in the national road network, the road department has not been able to carry out repairs and other works. Two years have passed since the completion of the 29 km road in Parbat section. Engineer Gautam said that there is a problem in road maintenance and maintenance because it is not clear which agency will do the maintenance.

All sections of the mountain section from Setibeni to Phalebas Dhik have been blacked out. He said that there is a problem as to which agency will repair and maintain the section that has been blacklisted in the national highway. If it is completed, the office has said that there is a problem in removing the landslides that occurred during the rainy season.

The work of 43 km road from Setiveni to Armadi in Parbat is going on in full swing. Similarly, 14 km of Falebas-Armadi road section, due to the negligence of the construction company, the black paper work could not be carried forward due to lack of time. Due to the lack of timely work in that section, the office has said that the tender for the black paper work has not been called and the budget for the current financial year is not guaranteed. The 10 km road from Mirmi in Syangja to Setibeni in Parbat is also being paved, while the 13 km road from Maldhunga in Parbat to Beni in Myagdi is also targeted to be paved within the current financial year.
