According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Thapa, Chief of District Police Office, an Indian and a Nepalese laborer working in the damside area of Rahughat Hydropower Project (42 MW) died on the spot after a landslide with stones fell from above on Monday afternoon. Five others were injured in the landslide.
'Since the police have just arrived at the scene, the identity of the deceased has not yet been established. The details of the injured are yet to come," Pranau Thapa said, "The injured are being rescued and brought to Beni Provincial Hospital for further treatment."
