The Beni-Jomsom road connecting the tourist district Mustang with the national highway through the northern area of Myagdi has been blocked.

Traffic has been blocked since this morning due to a dry landslide in Ghoptevir on the border of Annapurna in Myagdi and Thasang Rural Municipality in Mustang.

Chief Police Assistant Inspector Tej Bahadur Kumal of Sapma Police Station Ghansa informed that the equipment of the road department was mobilized to open the road that was blocked after the landslide in the morning.

The direct transport connection of Mustang district has been cut off due to road blockage. Pokhara-Jomsom air service is closed due to bad weather. Local residents as well as tourists going to and from Mustang have been affected. Those going towards Mustang are stopped at Kavre in Myagdi and those coming towards Mygdi via Mustang are stopped in the grass .
