An elderly couple has gone missing after a landslide swept away their house in Langdi, Deurali, Modi rural municipality-3 of Parbat.
76-year-old Chabilal Vishwakarma and his wife 76-year-old Bishnumati went missing when Ekat's house was swept away in the landslide this morning. The daughter-in-law, 32-year-old Pavitra, managed to escape by jumping when the landslide fell, said Santosh Vick, a ward member of Modi-3.
According to him, the locals are continuing the rescue work. Police Inspector Ram Prasad Sapkota of the District Police Office informed that the police are on their way to the scene of the incident and will provide the exact details after reaching it.
