District Administration Office East Nawalparasi has revoked the permission given to Dhami-Jhankri to run a camp for 10 days of training.
District Administration Officer Jyotiraj Aryal had written a letter to the District Police Office on June 30 and ordered to arrange peace and security in the Dhami-Jhankri learning camp. After criticism of the chief district officer saying that treatment according to dhami, jhankri and tantric lore and running a dhami-jhankri production camp based on orthodox tradition is against the prevailing law, the administration has sent another letter and banned the operation of such camp.
On June 30th, another letter was sent in the name of Nepal Tantrik Jhankri Sangh.
Chief District Officer Bhavishwar Pandey initially allowed the operation of the camp but later said it was banned.
