71 percent of the bridge over the Madi river being constructed at Damauli in Tanahun under the Muglin-Pokhara road has been completed. The work of the Madi River Bridge connecting Beyas Municipalities-4 and 5 is going on at a fast pace.

Bishnu Prasad Pandey, engineer of the Muglin-Pokhara road project (Eastern section), informed that the construction of the bridge is going on at a fast pace and effectively. The said bridge will have six spans. The construction company signed a contract on August 11, 2022 for the completion of the 315-meter-long bridge within three years, he said.

'Under the eastern section of the Muglin-Pokhara road project, 13 bridges have been completed from Ambukhaireni to Jamune. 86 percent of the road work under the eastern section has been completed. 41.45 km black paper till Ambukhaireni-Jamune has been completed, he said.

In the eastern section, the agreement was signed on January 17, 2077, and the work started on May 2, 2078. China Communication Construction got the contract for the eastern section. With the help of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) loan, the road is going to be made into a four-lane road after the increase in traffic on the road, which was planned in the year 2026. The contract for the eastern section is Rs. 6 billion 21 crore 31 lakh 13 thousand.

The contract for the eastern section has expired on June 29. Pandey said that as some work is left, it has been recommended to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure for an extension.
