71 percent of the bridge over the Madi river being constructed at Damauli in Tanahun under the Muglin-Pokhara road has been completed. The work of the Madi River Bridge connecting Beyas Municipalities-4 and 5 is going on at a fast pace.
Bishnu Prasad Pandey, engineer of the Muglin-Pokhara road project (Eastern section), informed that the construction of the bridge is going on at a fast pace and effectively. The said bridge will have six spans. The construction company signed a contract on August 11, 2022 for the completion of the 315-meter-long bridge within three years, he said.
Prithvi Highway's longest arch design bridge will have four lanes. Currently, the two-lane bridge over the river is 370 meters long. Engineer Pandey said that a new bridge is being constructed at a distance of about 50 meters from the same bridge.

The contract for the eastern section is Rs. 6 billion 21 crore 31 lakh 13 thousand.
The contract for the eastern section has expired on June 29. Pandey said that as some work is left, it has been recommended to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure for an extension.
