Due to the flood in Chukar River of Lomanthang Rural Municipality-4 Namdok of Mustang, Kaligandaki river coastal area of Myagdi is at risk, it is requested to be cautious.
Chief District Officer Gurudatta Dhakal has issued a statement this evening asking the residents of coastal areas to be vigilant.
Chukar is a tributary of Kaligandaki river. Gopchepani Titar, Dana Ghara, Sukebagar, Guinthe Bhurung, Tatopani, Pokhrebgar, Dolobagar, Mahbhir, Tiplyang, Baisari, Ghumwane Tal, Tilkeni and Beni's Kalipul area of Annapurna Rural Municipality are settlements in the coastal area of Kaligandaki River.
As the flood level in the river increases, the coastal area may be eroded, so the local residents have been asked by the administration to be cautious.
