Transport services on the Dhungagade-Khabdi Bhanjyang road have been disrupted due to road flooding near Dhungagade Bhanjyang located in Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-7.
Sharan Shrestha, Ward President of Shaheed Lakhan-7 informed that the road was flooded due to last night's rain and the road was blocked in both directions. ''The road which was damaged due to last year's rain was not repaired on time, but due to last night's heavy rain, more damage was done. Since the last winter, the road has been in a dangerous condition due to flooding, now it is not possible to operate any small four-wheeled vehicle.'
As the main road entering Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality was blocked, the travelers traveling through that section of the road are in trouble. As the road has been washed away, motorcyclists and pedestrians have to take risks. Although the Road Infrastructure Development Office has started the road reconstruction work from Saturday, the construction has been affected due to rain.
