On Saturday morning, the police arrested a person who was absconding in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Prakash Paudel of Devghat Rural Municipality-5 Badrimukti.

46-year-old Lok Bahadur Mahat, resident of Mahottari Bardibas Municipality-1, was arrested by the police. Police Inspector Ashish Vick of District Police Office Tanahun informed that Mahat, who is absconding, was arrested while hiding in the old age home run by the Rotary Club located in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 of Chitwan.

Earlier, 28-year-old Buddhi Saru Magar of Palpa's Tansen Municipality-8 Nayapati and 42-year-old Ram Lama of Makwanpur's Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City-3 Hatia have been arrested for being involved in the incident.

On Thursday morning, Paudel was found lying on a dirt road at a distance of about 300 meters from his house by local residents. Police said that he was taken to Bharatpur Hospital Chitwan for immediate treatment and died during treatment.

After the incident, the team headed by Police Inspector Tek Prasad Subedi of the area police office, Ambukhareni, found out that they were drunk and had a fight. The police said that the three arrested persons beat up Poudel.
