The tack (route) of the road connecting Dhorpatan of Myagdi and Baglung has been connected. The Beni-Darwang-Muna-Jaljala-Dhorpatan road which is considered as the 'lifeline' of Mangala, Malika and Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality of Myagdi as an alternative to the Baglung section of the Madhyapahari Lokmarg is also a short distance road connecting Dhorpatan and East Rukum from Kathmandu and Pokhara via Beni.
Prem Prasad Pun, Chairman of Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality, said that the road has been constructed from Dhawalagiri-2 Mareni in Myagdi to Jaljala in Dhorpatan through a plan conducted by Road Division Office Baglung from the budget of Rs.50 million allocated by the federal government.
'About nine kilometers of road has been constructed from the forest above Mareni towards Jaljala. Even from Dhorpatan to Jaljala, a 10 km unpaved road has already been connected," he said, "even if Dozer reaches Jaljala, the means of transport can be operated only after the upgrading work is completed."
The construction of this road started from Beni in 2055 From Beni to Muna-Khoria-Mareni via Jaljala, about 64 kilometers of roads have been opened. Resham Punamar, vice president of Dhavalagiri Rural Municipality, said that after the completion of the road from Beni to Darwang-Muna-Jaljala-Dhorpatan connecting Taksera in East Rukum, the distance will be reduced by 70 km from the Baglung section of Madhyapahari Lokmarg.
According to him, eight kilometers of road have yet to be connected from Taksera in East Rukum to Nisildhor in Dhorpatan. This road is short for tourists and locals going to Jaljala, Dhorpatan and Uttarganga. Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-2 has made a detailed project report of 19 kilometers to connect the road reached in Khoria five years ago with Dhorpatan. Three years ago, the rural municipality proposed a plan and budget to the federal government.
20 km road from Beni through Tatopani-Babiachour to Tolawang has been blacklisted by the state government. Provincial Assembly member Resham Jugjali said that the provincial government has implemented a plan under two headings to upgrade about 17 kilometers of road connecting Darwang to Takam Muna.
The interest of the stakeholders in the budget management and implementation of plans for the opening, expansion, maintenance, upgrading and black paper of the rest of the road, which is considered the life line of West Myagdi connecting to the alternative route of Madhyapahari public road and East Rukum, has increased.
