The Gandaki state government has released a budget of 31 billion 97 million 99 lakh 99 thousand rupees for the next financial year 2082/083.

Economic Affairs Minister Takaraj Gurung has announced the budget of Rs 998.576 thousand less than the current financial year in the state assembly meeting on Sunday. In the current fiscal year, the government brought a budget of 32 billion 97 million 85 million 75 thousand. 

Out of the total budget of the next financial year, 12 billion 63 million 66 million 75 thousand rupees have been allocated for the operational side, 19 billion 9 million 33 million 24 thousand rupees for the capital side and 25 million rupees for the financial arrangement. 39.5 percent has been allocated for current, 59.7 and 0.8 percent for capital. Minister Gurung said that out of the total allocation, 1 crore 54 lakh 52 thousand rupees will be burdened on the government fund. 

In the next fiscal year, the government estimates that 7 billion 738 million rupees will be received for financial equalization subsidy, 3 billion 35 million 64 million rupees for conditional subsidy, 63 million 97 million rupees for supplementary subsidy, and 49 million 86 million special rupees. It is estimated that 9 billion 79 crore 29 lakh 40 thousand rupees will be received from revenue distribution, 4989 million 77 thousand rupees from royalty distribution and 5 billion 45 crore 84 lakh 88 thousand rupees from internal income. Minister Gurung said that it is estimated that 2 billion 245 million 94 thousand cash balance will be saved from the budget of the current financial year. 

1 billion 750 million of the insufficient amount for the next financial year will be covered by internal loans. Minister Gurung said that due to the lack of legal and institutional arrangements, domestic debt has not been collected so far, and necessary arrangements will be made for debt mobilization in the coming financial year. He said that the loan amount will be spent on productive, job creation and high return plans. 

48.06 percent of the budget brought by the government in the current financial year has been spent till the end of May.
