Tanahun, Baglung, Myagdi and Manang districts of Gandaki province have been declared as fully vaccinated districts. All the four districts have been declared fully vaccinated and sustainable after the children within 23 months of birth have received all the necessary vaccinations.

The remaining seven districts of the province are also involved in the campaign to ensure complete vaccination. According to the health ministry of the province, those districts will also be declared as fully vaccinated districts within the coming June. Tanahun and Baglung were declared full-khop assured districts on Friday.

Myagdi was announced on May 28 and Manang on June 7. For the first time in the year 2075, Gandaki province was declared as a fully vaccinated province, but every year since then every local level, district and province has been declared fully vaccinated guaranteed and sustainable.

He said that 3,552 children in the district have received all the vaccinations they should receive according to their age.

'In the event that no child is deprived of vaccination, it has been announced that full vaccination is guaranteed, along with the announcement, vaccination campaigns are conducted every year for its sustainability,' he said. Member Secretary Sapkota said that vaccinations are done on an exploratory basis so that no child is deprived of vaccination.

Health Minister of Gandaki Province Krishna Prasad Pathak said that the vaccination program is a priority of all three levels of the government. He said that since it is the right of children to get regular vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the state to get them vaccinated.

Minister Pathak said that Purnakhop Abhiyan is helping to reduce maternal and newborn mortality. Mentioning that nearly 25,000 children of the province have been brought under the scope of regular vaccination, he said that after all the districts are declared, Gandaki will be declared a fully vaccinated province.
