District Administration Office Tanahun has started providing services for citizenship and national identity cards from 7 am. The office started service from 7 am to 5 pm from Friday after the increase in the number of customers coming to the office for registration of new citizenship and national identity card.

Assistant Chief District Officer Deepak Regmi informed that the service delivery has been started from morning as the customers are suffering due to the rising heat. He said, 'Service delivery has been started since morning to organize the service delivery. Until further notice, the service will start from 7 pm. The number of customers for registration of citizenship and national identity card details at the

office is increasing. Earlier, the office has been registering details for national identity cards around 150 daily. 

12,000 national identity cards have been distributed in Tanahun, 46,000 more than 12,000 national identity cards have been distributed in the rest of the districts. The district administration office has sent identity cards to ten local levels in the district, and 12,507 people have been distributed identity cards from the respective local levels. Chief District Officer Ramakrishna Adhikari informed that 258 ID cards have been distributed from the District Administration Office. The national identity cards that arrived at the administration office were sent to the respective municipalities in the current fiscal year. According to the official, 59 thousand 500 ID cards have been sent to the municipalities of the district. 46 thousand 735 identity cards are yet to be distributed. 

officer said, 'Since it will be convenient for the concerned people to distribute identity cards from the relevant local level, we have sent the identity cards that were kept in the administration office to the municipality. Due to this, there is no need to run to the headquarters to get an identity card.' According to him, 15,712 people have applied for national identity cards in the current financial year. Up to 180 applications are registered per day. Two stations have been designated for that.
