A woman who came to visit Pokhara from Butwal has died after falling from the hotel roof. 32-year-old Sarita Bhandari of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-17 Raniganj was found last night in a state of falling from the fifth floor of a hotel in Pokhara-6 Dihikopatan.
She came to Pokhara with her husband and 2 sons on Thursday. On Friday night, the husband and wife were sitting on chairs on the fifth floor of the hotel. At 12:30 midnight, she fell 55 feet from the fifth floor to the entrance of the hotel. He was taken to Gandaki Medical College for treatment, but the doctor declared him dead at 1:20 p.m.
Since there is no CCTV at the scene, it is not clear whether he was killed, committed suicide or his fate. DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Kaski, said that her husband, 38-year-old Laxman Bhandari, was taken into custody for questioning. He is in the custody of Ward Police Office Baidam. The police said that after receiving the post-mortem report, further investigation will proceed. After getting information about the incident, the family of the deceased arrived in Pokhara on Saturday morning after reserving a bus.
