53 percent of the work has been completed in the west section of the Muglin Pokhara road extension. According to Muglin Pokhara Road Plan (West Section), half of the work has been completed on the section from Jamune in Tanahun to Seti Bridge in Pokhara.
Planning chief Krishna Bahadur Kunwar informed that the two-way and 12.8 km section of the two-way section and the one-way section of the 24 km section have finished . He informed that the remaining 3 km one-way black road towards the west section is to be done and the goal is to complete the one-way black road by the end of May.
10 out of 12 bridges on the west side have been completed, while 92 out of 100 culverts have been constructed, he said. He said that 424 electricity poles are yet to be removed in this section and due to this, there has been some delay in the work. He said that the delay in removing poles from Talchok to Adarshchok and from Danda's nose to Vijaypur caused problems in the work. He said that the four-lane work from Kotre to Setipul will be completed by the end of June as the pole has been promised to be removed within a week.
This clause was signed on 3rd June 2078 and the working deadline of this section is till 16th January 2082 . The contract for this section was won by Enhui KUN Highway and Bridge for 7 billion 40 million rupees.
The work from Anbukhaireni to Jamune within the eastern section has almost reached its final stage . The work of this section is 85 percent completed. Engineer Bishnu Prasad Pandey informed that the section from Ambukhaireni to Jamune has almost finished. Within this section, only one side near Madi Bridge and Bimalnagar is left to be paved. The black paper has reached its final stage in Damauli market as well.
If the deadline of this section is extended for the third time, Pandey said that the work will be completed within that period. In the eastern section, the agreement was signed on 17th January 2077 and the work started on 2nd May 2078. The contract for the eastern section has been awarded to China Communication Construction. After the increase in traffic on the road, which was planned in the year 2026, the road is going to be made four-lane with the loan support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The contract for the eastern section is Rs 6 billion 21 crore 31 lakh 13 thousand.
